Notarial services, passport and birth registration services are offered by appointment only. Appointments must be scheduled through our online system.
On December 27, we increased our fees for a passport book by $20 for all customers. Avoid processing delays and submit the correct amount by checking this webpage on the day you apply or renew.
Effective December 27, 2021, if you are overseas and your passport expired on or after January 1, 2020, you may be able to use your expired passport to return directly to the United States until March 31, 2022. Please see this Message for U.S. Citizens for more details.
The American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit at U.S. Embassy Belgrade is open for passport, citizenship, and notarial services. Please check our appointment page frequently for available appointments.

Check your local embassy’s website on how to make an appointment, or in some cases, drop off your passport application. Walk-in services may not be available. Passport services are not available on weekends or on Serbian or U.S. holidays.Processing times vary depending on demand. You must provide one photo with your passport application. All our photo policies apply to both adults and children under age 16. We have a few exceptions to our photo policies for infants.
