Possible Protest Tonight in Belgrade

Security Message Default Image

The U.S. Embassy in Belgrade informs U.S. citizens of a potential protest this evening at 6:00 pm at Republic Square in Belgrade. Persons may gather at this location or other locations in the coming days to protest the conviction earlier today of Bosnian Serb Army Commander Ratko Mladic by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.

We remind all U.S. citizens that demonstrations and events intended to be peaceful can become unpredictable and violent. You should exercise caution if you are within the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, demonstrations, or sporting events.
