U.S. Ambassador Attends Donation Ceremony at Clinical Center in Belgrade

February 18, 2016

On Thursday, 18 February, Ambassador Kyle Scott will attend a donation ceremony at the Clinical Center in Belgrade to mark the donation of a General Electric diagnostic workstation to this institution. The total value of the donation is $100,000 and funding was provided by the U.S. European Command (EUCOM) through its Humanitarian Assistance Program.

The donated equipment will double the diagnostic capacity of the Clinical Center’s Radiology Department. It consists of an image processing workstation with digital memory upgrades, LCD monitors and software for diagnosing patients.

This project is yet another excellent example of the fruitful partnership and close cooperation between the two countries. It demonstrates the U.S. Government’s commitment to partnering with counterparts in Serbia in order to improve the quality of life for all Serbians.

Ambassador Scott will be joined by Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar and other officials.

Journalists interested in covering the event should be at the Clinical Center of Serbia (Pasterova 2, Belgrade), no later than 14:15 p.m. on February 18.
